Partner API Developer / Consultant
ALSO Holding AG is a leading technology provider for the ICT industry, operating across Europe and worldwide through its partner ecosystem. ALSO provides hardware, software, cloud, IT services, and platform-based capabilities to resellers and vendors.
Role Overview
We are looking for a pragmatic, curious, and self-driven Partner API Developer / Consultant to join the ACMP API team. This is primarily a production development role with consulting responsibilities: around 70% API development and delivery, and 30% partner-facing onboarding, integration support, and solution guidance.
AI-assisted development is part of our engineering direction. Expert-level experience is not required from day one, but understanding, openness, and willingness to work with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar assistants are expected.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and enhance partner/reseller API features using C#/.NET.
• Contribute to API delivery from requirement clarification through implementation, tests, documentation update, and internal demo.
• Investigate API integration issues using Postman or similar tools, API documentation, payload analysis, logs, SQL checks, and backend debugging.
• Support partner onboarding, integration reviews, troubleshooting sessions, and solution design discussions.
• Maintain and improve API documentation, integration guidelines, troubleshooting notes, and technical summaries.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly: define tasks clearly, review generated output, and validate changes with tests or other checks.
• Communicate progress, risks, blockers, and follow-up actions clearly in a remote-first working environment.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in API consulting, support, integration, or development.
• Practical experience in C#/.NET backend or API development.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication, authorization, and API error handling.
• SQL experience for data analysis, troubleshooting, and validation of integration scenarios.
• Experience with Git branching workflows, CI/CD concepts, unit testing, and code review practices.
• Ability to understand an existing enterprise codebase and independently navigate platform logic at a high level.
• Self-driven working style: able to clarify a problem, propose a plan, ask focused questions, and work effectively with limited supervision.
• Professional English for client-facing calls, written technical communication, documentation, and follow-up summaries.
• Reliable remote work discipline: predictable availability, proactive status updates, and transparent blocker communication.
• Understanding of AI-assisted software development and willingness to use GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar assistants in daily work.
Preferred Qualifications
• Azure development, deployment, monitoring, or troubleshooting experience.
• OpenAPI/Swagger documentation experience.
• Enterprise B2B, partner, reseller, marketplace, catalogue, pricing, order, invoice, or subscription API experience.
Benefits
• Competitive salary and benefits package.
• Opportunity to work with a collaborative international team.
• Professional development, training opportunities, and modern API delivery practices.
