About the Role
As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for the DevOps and Platform Engineering domain of our eCommerce Platform.
You will drive the evolution of our engineering platform, improve software delivery capabilities, define engineering standards, and ensure the reliability, security and scalability of our production environments.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will work closely with Software Architects, Development Teams, Infrastructure Operations and Product Engineering while mentoring engineers and continuously improving our DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership

Own and evolve the DevOps strategy and engineering practices for the eCommerce Platform.

Define standards, guidelines and best practices for software delivery, automation and infrastructure management.

Lead technical decisions related to CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, deployment architecture and operational tooling.

Mentor DevOps engineers and development teams, fostering engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across development and operational processes.
Platform Engineering

Design, implement and continuously improve scalable software delivery pipelines.

Drive automation across build, release and deployment processes.

Define and maintain Infrastructure as Code and configuration management standards.

Improve developer experience through standardized tooling and automation.

Ensure engineering platforms remain maintainable, secure and operationally efficient.
Reliability & Operations

Ensure high availability, resilience and disaster recovery capabilities of the platform.

Lead production incident management, root cause analysis and post-incident improvements.

Drive observability, monitoring, logging and alerting strategies.
-
Improve platform stability through proactive operational excellence initiatives.
Security & Governance
-
Promote DevSecOps principles throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Participate in security initiatives, infrastructure hardening and compliance activities.

Ensure security and operational best practices are embedded into engineering processes.
Collaboration

Partner with Software Architects on platform evolution and technical roadmaps.

Collaborate with multiple Agile development teams in a shared DevOps model.

Support prioritization of engineering initiatives, balancing business needs, platform stability and technical debt.

Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing and engineering communities.
Your Profile

Minimum 7 years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.

Proven experience leading DevOps initiatives within complex enterprise environments.

Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

Strong communication skills with fluent written and spoken English.

Comfortable working in international Agile teams.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
