Asian Cloud
In 2026, ALSO will launch a new business unit: Asian Cloud. This platform focuses on organizations operating in or with Asia and provides a wide range of innovative cloud solutions, including infrastructure, data analytics, artificial intelligence, security, and IoT.
Alibaba Cloud will be the first vendor added to Asian Cloud, giving Dutch companies direct access to one of Asia’s largest and most advanced cloud ecosystems. By combining Alibaba Cloud’s technological strength with ALSO’s local expertise, we offer a unique proposition for the Dutch market.
What is the role?
As Sales Specialist Cloud, Asian Cloud, you will be responsible for establishing and expanding this new business unit in the Netherlands and achieving commercial success. Your focus is on creating new business opportunities and building strategic partnerships for Asian Cloud solutions. You open doors, generate interest, and receive technical support directly from the vendor. You own the commercial success and build a strong network.
Your responsibilities:

Build the new Asian Cloud business unit and develop a business plan to successfully position it in the Dutch market.

Independently identify and engage potential customers and partners, focusing on organizations active in or with Asia.

Create new business opportunities by expanding your network, maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, and clearly communicating the value of Asian Cloud solutions.

Work closely with internal teams and the vendor for technical support, allowing you to fully focus on commercial growth.

Represent ALSO and Asian Cloud at industry events, conferences, and webinars to increase visibility and generate leads.

Report directly to the Consumptional Business Lead.
Your profile:

Bachelor’s degree level of thinking and at least 2 years of experience in business development within cloud computing or IT services.

Experience working with organizations focused on the Asian market is a strong plus.

Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Asian Cloud, AWS, and Azure.

Strong communication skills in Dutch and English; speaking a third Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Min) is an advantage.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently with Excel and Power BI for data analysis and visualization.

Solution-oriented, positively critical, and a true team player.
