Role 
The SureStep Partner Specialist for Azure is responsible for driving Azure acquisition with partners in the indirect ecosystems

Profile Azure sellers need high level of drive to hunt for new partners and their business/customers in the indirect segment. A successful hunter needs to be results oriented, driven & excel in working in a dynamic sales environment. The seller needs to have ability to pitch & understand Azure ecosystem & value proposition to Partners and their customers to enable sales to new customers.

Function Scope
• Define and work with resellers to drive customer Azure migrations at scale by growing their marketing and sales capabilities.
• Assist partners with building compelling offers that address top customer scenarios. Mobilize partners to consume Microsoft resources (e.g., Campaigns in a Box, Co op funds, Cloud Ascent targeting data, DMC tool) and participate in Microsoft programs & offers (e.g., DCO program for hosters, Azure Migrate & Modernize, Migration factory).
• Utilize Microsoft targeting tools like Cloud Ascent to help resellers drive new customer conversations and identify on-prem to Cloud migration opportunities.
• Implement a Rhythm of Business with resellers and local Microsoft stakeholders to ensure consistent engagement and performance tracking
• Drive partner outreach and demand generation through all available channels (email, webinars, hosting events, social media, etc.), promoting offers and campaigns to build excitement around Azure
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively engage partners, promote initiatives, and support scalable go-to-market execution. 

Role Description
• Drive Azure channel acquisition and activation to service SMB customers at scale through partners
• Consult resellers on Designations; Lead blitz weeks/webinars for acquisition; Stimulate RFY activities with low performing resellers
• Ensure resellers are leveraging incentives and marketing to drive customer acquisition
• Provides reseller assistance if needed in qualifying opportunity and customer wins
• Use Cloud Ascent data and drive GTM execution of the Cohorts “Migrate and Secure Windows SQL and Linux Estate”
• Mandatory attendance of Microsoft driven SureStep events like SureStep Summits and Bootcamps
• Represent Microsoft by earning the Pitch Perfect Badge for Azure
• If Aligned to specific DCO resellers – engage and enable those partners to target workloads for Azure migration

 

Role Qualifications
• 1 years of work experience in a sales/marketing role in the IT business
• Preferably experience working at a Partner/Hoster/Telco/Service Provider or competing technology vendor.
• Basic understanding of Azure and the Microsoft partner ecosystem
• Preferred advanced user of Office suite
• Preferred familiarity with Azure and/or Dynamics products and SKUs
• Azure Fundamentals (AZ900) to be completed within 2 months of hire date.
• Min 2 years working in IT sales, marketing or business development.
