Cloud Engineer
Job Description

As member of the ALSO Analytics team you will become part of the AI development. You will
work together with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to providing and deploying solutions
within AZURE. You will build and enhance the AI tools besides handling the resource
management and monitoring the consumption as well as building secure access to the
services.


In this role, you will support the evolution toward modern, cloud‑native architectures by
helping define, implement, and maintain best practices for performance, security, and cost
efficiency. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ensuring seamless deployment of
applications, infrastructure, and services in Azure. Staying on top of the latest Azure
features, technologies, and industry trends, helping the team to continuously innovate and
adopt new tools that enhance cloud performance, efficiency, and security, will also be
important.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Engineering

Design and implement scalable cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
Build and evolve Azure‑based infrastructure supporting AI and analytics workloads.
Provide secure, reliable service endpoints enabling integration across applications.

Infrastructure Operations & Management

Manage and optimize Azure resources, ensuring cost efficiency and high availability.
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud environments, pipelines, and deployments.
Implement governance, security controls, and identity/access policies aligned with best
practices.

AI Platform Enablement

Support the development and deployment of AI and ML solutions in the cloud.
Integrate Azure AI services to enable intelligent capabilities across the organization.
Ensure secure and compliant access to AI tools, datasets, compute resources, and APIs.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Provide Azure expertise, architectural guidance, and operational insights to
cross‑functional stakeholders.
Stay current with Azure innovations and emerging industry trends to enhance
performance, security, and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • In‑depth experience with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including services such
    as:
    • Compute (VMs, Kubernetes), Storage, Networking
    • Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
    • Web Apps, Pipelines, Deployment tools
  • Solid programming/scripting abilities (e.g., Python, Bicep, PowerShell, .NET/C#)
  • Expertise creating LLM solutions using base-models (Agents, Tool calling, Workflows)
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as
    code.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure design, scalability strategies, and environment
    hardening.
  • Knowledge of access and security management, including Key Vault and Managed
    Identities.
  • Familiarity with Azure AI services (e.g., Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search) is a strong
    plus.

Soft Skills

  • Result‑driven mindset with a focus on delivering scalable, high‑quality solutions.
  • Collaborative team player able to work effectively with technical and non‑technical
    colleagues.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a remote-first environment.
  • Strong English communication skills.
