Job Description

Role Overview 

The GitHub SureStep Specialist is a role between GitHub and Microsoft, designed to accelerate GitHub adoption—especially GitHub Copilot—within the indirect provider ecosystem. The role blends technical presales, partner enablement, and business development to support ISVs and resellers in leveraging GitHub’s developer tools and AI capabilities. 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Partner Engagement: Identify and onboard partners with GitHub potential, especially ISVs and software developers. 
  • Technical Enablement: Lead GitHub Copilot demos, workshops, and onboarding sessions for partners and customers. 
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with local sales teams to qualify GitHub opportunities and support presales motions. 
  • Program Execution: Align with GitHub’s FY26 strategy, including Azure Accelerate and Copilot adoption campaigns. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with GitHub’s CSP team, Microsoft Partner Development Managers, and ALSO’s internal teams. 

Required Knowledge & Skills 

  • Experience in technical presales, developer advocacy, or partner consulting. 
  • Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, and Azure DevOps. 
  • Strong communication and outreach skills (email, Teams, webinars). 
  • Ability to work across multiple countries and adapt to local partner needs. 
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
